Erotic paintings and sculptures on display at Siddhartha Art Gallery
The exibition of impressive and erotic drawings and sculptures by American artist Albert Horowitz has begun at the Siddhartha Art Gallery of Babar Mahal Revisited, Kathmandu.
Heritage expert Anil Chitrakar had inaugurated the exhibition on June 1. Some 40 artworks and ceramic sculptures have been put on display.
Albert said he might have carved parts of human beings in his arts but he left it for the viewers to make their interpretations since they were carved and painted into identifiable shapes and patterns.
He has meaningfully transformed lumps of clay into creative art having definitive textures and figures. At preliminary look, his work looks much like Kama Sutra with semi-abstract images of sexual intimacies.
The price of the paintings and the sculptures ranges from Rs 7,000 to Rs 20,000. The exhibition will continue till June 20. nepalnews.com June 04 07
